Recording tips
- Use headphones to avoid feedback from your speakers.
- Record in a quiet room for the best results.
- Keep the microphone about 15–30 cm from your mouth.
- Watch the level meter — green is good, red means you're too loud.
After recording, clean it up with the silence remover or trim it with the audio cutter.
⎆Your audio never leaves your browser. Recording and encoding happen locally on your device.

Frequently asked questions
- Why is the WebM file smaller than the WAV?
- WebM uses Opus compression. WAV is uncompressed PCM, which is about 10× larger for the same audio.
- Can I record a browser tab?
- Not from this tool — it only records the mic. For tab audio you need a dedicated screen-recording workflow.
- What if I deny permission by accident?
- Open your browser site settings and re-enable microphone access, then reload the page.
