Terms of Service

Last updated: April 15, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using MakeMySounds ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

MakeMySounds provides free online audio processing tools. Some tools run entirely in your browser; others upload files to our server for processing. See our Privacy Policy for a full list of which tools work which way.

3. Your files

You retain full ownership of any files you process through MakeMySounds. We do not claim any rights to your content.

For server-side tools, your files are temporarily stored in memory during processing and deleted immediately after the result is returned. We do not keep copies, create backups, or use your files for any other purpose.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process files you don't have the right to use (e.g., copyrighted music you don't own or have a license for).
  • Attempt to overwhelm our servers with automated or bulk requests beyond normal use.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute the Service in a way that misrepresents its origin.
  • Use the Service for any illegal activity.

5. No warranty

MakeMySounds is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results will meet your specific requirements. Audio processing can be lossy — always keep your originals.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakeMySounds and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero — it's free.

7. File size limits

Client-side tools have a 100 MB per-file limit enforced by the browser. Server-side tools may impose their own limits depending on the operation. If a file is too large, the tool will tell you.

8. Ads and third-party services

MakeMySounds may display ads from Google AdSense (gated behind cookie consent) and uses cookieless Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the practices of third-party services.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
